The Atlanta Hawks acquiring Donovan Mitchell is probably the most outlandish of possibilities but there’s at least a chance that the Utah Jazz elects to make a big change during the offseason. It remains to be seen whether that would involve trading Mitchell.
At least offensively, Mitchell would be a great running mate for Trae Young. Mitchell is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the game and would complement Young. He would be another creator on the offensive end that Atlanta doesn’t have on their roster right now as well.

However, on the defensive end, well that’s an entirely different discussion. A backcourt of Mitchell and Young would be a nightmare defensively, but they’d be arguably the best offensive duo in the Eastern Conference.
