NBA Mock Draft 7.0: Knicks land Donovan Mitchell; Jabari Smith at No. 1

In the latest edition of our NBA Mock Draft, the New York Knicks acquire Donovan Mitchell in a huge draft-day trade and Jabari Smith goes No. 1. 

Based on what has transpired during the NBA Playoffs, I thought it was a good idea to get a little creative with our latest NBA Mock Draft. And the Utah Jazz will be at the center of the blockbuster deal that gets done.

The Jazz, after another early playoff exit, will elect to hit the reset button and blow up the roster by trading Donovan Mitchell. He gives them the biggest return and I’m not quite sure what the market would actually be for Rudy Gobert.

Nevertheless, there needs to be some resolution for the team. And a decision needs to be made between the two. Utah will be able to hit the hard reset button and try to build it back up with the assets that it gets in a Mitchell trade.

We’ll get to the details of the trade and then straight into our NBA Mock Draft 7.0, in which Jabari Smith is back at No. 1 overall.
