17. Houston Rockets (via Brooklyn) – TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky
Having TyTy Washington fall to the Houston Rockets at this point in the NBA Draft will be too difficult to pass up. Even though many feel the Rockets are fine in the backcourt, Washington could be an interesting addition.
Plus, the track record recently on guards out of Kentucky has been extremely good. As of late, Tyrese Maxey, Tyler Herro, Devin Booker, and other former Wildcats have made it known to the rest of the league that Kentucky knows how to groom guards.
I’m not sure if we can lump Washington into that group just yet, but it would be wise to take a chance on one here for the Rockets.
