Donovan Mitchell is traded to the New York Knicks in a blockbuster draft-day trade

In the blockbuster trade, the Jazz is able to get three first-round picks from the New York Knicks along with three good young players in Cam Reddish, Obi Toppin, and Immanuel Quickley. Evan Fournier must be included to make the money work all around. Though could be replaced with Julius Randle, if that’s something Utah would be interested in.

The Knicks get Mitchell, even if it guts them of nearly every asset that they have on their roster. Now, heading into the thick of the offseason, the Knicks could build around the duo of Mitchell and RJ Barrett.

Mitchell would make it clear that he wants to be in New York and the Jazz would try to make the best of the situation. And, initially, the Jazz would have a top 11 pick to try to kickstart the retooling around Gobert (if they elect to keep him).

Let’s proceed to the mock draft.
