26. Dallas Mavericks – Patrick Baldwin Jr., F, Milwaukee

Drafting this late, it’s all about risk for the Dallas Mavericks. They need a star and short of making a trade up in this draft, it’s unlikely that they’re going to find one here at No. 26. Though, Patrick Baldwin Jr. is an intriguing option for the team.

Baldwin was a highly-touted high school prospect that had a bad freshman season. That’s the biggest reason why he isn’t mocked higher. Had he gone to a bigger school or even just feasted at Milwaukee, we’re probably having a very different conversation as it pertains to Baldwin.

Nevertheless, there’s a chance he could be one of those players that were just made for the NBA. The Mavs, taking him late in the first round, would be hoping for that.
