Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies: 3 things to watch for in Game 2
Can Jordan Poole continue the magic?
Jordan Poole has been absolutely absurd in the playoffs so far for the Golden State Warriors. During the first three games in the team’s first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, he was averaging 29 points per game. He cooled off over the course of the last two games in that series but has seemed to pick up in Game 1 where he left off during the first three games against Denver.
Poole finished with 31 points on 50 percent shooting from 3. He was a huge reason why the Warriors managed to come back in the first half against the Grizzlies and continued to hit huge basket after huge basket.
If Poole is going to score that many points again in Game 2, I’m not sure how much of a chance the Grizzlies will have. Especially considering that it’s unlikely that Draymond Green is ejected again and it’s equally unlikely that Klay Thompson is going to shoot 30 percent from the field again.
Poole may be the key to the series and the Grizzlies need to figure out a way to stop him.
