Jaren Jackson Jr. vs. Andrew Wiggins/Draymond Green

While it seemed as if not much was going for the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 aside from Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. was putting together the best game of his young postseason career. In the Game 1 loss, JJJ finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds.

It was a pleasant surprise for the Grizzlies as JJJ only averaged 12 points and seven rebounds per game in their first-round series win over the Timberwolves. And if the Grizzlies are going to win Game 2, they’re going to need JJJ to turn in another strong performance against Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green.

I don’t think it’s fair to expect him to score 30 points again, but he’s going to need to be a threat that is respected in order to keep Golden State’s defense honest and to open lanes for Morant.
