76ers get: Eric Gordon, Christian Wood

Rockets get: Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, 2023 first-round pick

Who knows if the Houston Rockets would want to play ball with Dary Morey, however, there is a deal that could benefit both sides here. The Rockets could trade Eric Gordon and Christian Wood, who are both on expiring contracts after the 2022-23 season, to the Sixers for a first-round pick and a really good young respect in Matisse Thybulle.

Houston would also do Philadelphia a favor in absorbing Tobias Harris’ contract to make the deal work. And, quite frankly, this makes sense for both sides. The Rockets would add more assets to their young core and the Sixers add quality depth.

Wood would be able to start next to Joel Embiid and Gordon would add another weapon for this team off the bench, something they clearly lacked during the playoffs against the Miami Heat.
