Philadelphia 76ers: 4 trades that could help Philly win a championship
76ers get: Malcolm Brogdon, Buddy Hield
Pacers get: Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey
If the Philadelphia 76ers truly wanted to make a splash, there are some options out there. But, it’s going to be costly. One option is perhaps acquiring Malcolm Brogdon and Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers.
It wouldn’t be surprising if the Pacers shopped both of them this offseason as they seem to be pivoting to a rebuild of shorts. Though, it will likely cost the Sixers Tobias Harris (to make the money work) and a blue-chip prospect, likely Tyrese Maxey.
Ultimately, the Sixers would have to be confident in Harden’s ability to get back to his superstardom for this to make sense. They would essentially replace Maxey with two shooters that fit better next to Harden in Brogdon and Hield.
There would be major pushback from fans on this one considering the way Maxey has developed, but this team isn’t about the future. It’s all-in with Harden and Embiid.
