Tyler Herro vs. Celtics bench

Another matchup to watch in this series is Tyler Herro vs. the Celtics’ second unit. Despite Herro’s up-and-down playoff performance, the Heat has relatively been able to overcome. However, I’m not sure that will continue to be the case against a team as deep as the Celtics.

During this playoff run, Herro is 14 points on 43 percent shooting from the field and 27 percent shooting from 3-point range. If the Heat is going to be able to overcome the Celtics’ balanced offensive attack, especially off the bench, they’re going to need Herro to look more like the Sixth Man of the Year.

If Herro can get back to that level in this series, it will unlock a version of the Heat that we haven’t seen thus far offensively in the postseason. For as good as the Heat has looked in the playoffs thus far, there’s still an offensive element from them that they haven’t reached yet – with the exception of a few hot streaks from Max Strus here and there.
