Milwaukee Bucks free-agent needs: A switchable big

Even if Bobby Portis is brought back, the Milwaukee Bucks need to adopt a more modern defensive system. Brook Lopez is great in the drop coverage in certain matchups, but sometimes switching is simply more effective.

Currently, Milwaukee does not have the personnel to transition to a switching defense, barring playing Giannis at center. Therefore, free agents such as Thaddeus Young or Gorgui Dieng could be intriguing additions.

Young might be out of Milwaukee’s price range, but Dieng certainly isn’t, and could provide a different element to the Bucks’ dominant defense.

Milwaukee Bucks Draft capital:

The Milwaukee Bucks will have the 24th pick in this year’s NBA draft, another opportunity to fill a need on this team’s bench.
