Signed players: Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Greek Freak had another marvelous season, finishing 3rd in the overall MVP voting behind Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid. He’s undoubtedly the most dominant force in the league, with 90% of opposing defenders holding no chance of staying in front of him.

The Boston Celtics had relatively good options to attempt to slow him down in the combination of Al Horford and Grant Williams. They did a fine job, and Giannis still ended up averaging 33.9 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 7.1 assists in the series on an over 40% usage rate. Those numbers are unheard of for a player with Giannis’ continual explosiveness.

Under contract through 2024-25 with a player option in the following year, Bucks fans have no reason to worry about him leaving. He’s expressed his interest in staying with the franchise and in the city, and the Bucks should continue to build around him to make another run at a championship.
