Signed players: Jrue Holiday

Due to the injury to Middleton, Jrue Holiday was forced into a greater offensive role, leading to a poor performance. While he was spectacular at the end of game five, it’s clear that Holiday cannot be the number two option on a championship-winning team.

He should always be allowed to use most of his effort on the defensive end, an area which he excels at. Being able to place Holiday on the opposing team’s best guard or wing each an every night is a privilege the Milwaukee Bucks have.

However, they could use more offensive output in the place of Holiday, a thought that was glorified in this year’s playoffs. Because of this, some are exploring the idea of a trade for Damian Lillard, that would have to include Holiday due to salary matching.

Who knows if Portland would be interested in such a move, but the idea of pairing Giannis with Lillard on the offensive end is intriguing at the very least.
