In the latest edition of our NBA Mock Draft, the Detroit Pistons take a gamble and the Orlando Magic hopes to have found its franchise cornerstone.

As the NBA Playoffs continue into the conference finals, the 2022 NBA Draft continues to inch closer and closer. The NBA Draft Lottery is officially in the books and we’re officially a month away from a new slate of prospects entering the league.

During the draft lottery, the Orlando Magic jumped to earn the top pick, the Oklahoma City Thunder jumped two spots and the Sacramento Kings jumped three spots. The draft order is now set and it’s going to be a bit easier to project how the draft board could fall.

In this week’s mock draft, the Detroit Pistons make a selection that perhaps is not expected and the Magic have – finally – found its new face of the franchise. Let’s explore the eighth edition of our NBA Mock Draft.
