NBA Mock Draft 8.0: Pistons take a gamble; Magic find their cornerstone
14. Cleveland Cavaliers – Ousmane Dieng, F, NZ Breakers
The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the biggest surprises in the Eastern Conference this past season. They didn’t make the playoffs (losing in the play-in tournament) but are widely expected to take the next step next season.
With the final pick in the lottery, look for the Cavs to solidify their depth – or take a chance on a prospect with a high ceiling. One potential prospect that would fit that mold for the Cavs is Ousmane Dieng.
Dieng is arguably the best international player in this draft class and offers one of the most diverse skill-set as a wing. If he reaches his high ceiling, he could be a very good player for a very long time.
