The Dallas Mavericks should also be a natural landing spot for Mo Bamba. Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber, while they’ve both had moments, are not exactly the answer for the team at the center position. They should be looking to make an upgrade.
And under the assumption that Jalen Brunson could be too much for the Mavs to afford, it could open up some cash where they could give it to Bamba. He wouldn’t cost as much as Brunson, clearly, and would give the Mavs some immediate defensive help at the rim.
It’s a tough sell considering he’s not a for sure answer for the team, but he’s a player that would immediately help Luka Doncic in a meaningless way and would be affordable.

All in all, the Mavs need help. And if Bamba is available, there’s no question that he could be an upgrade for the team. It’s something that they should, at the very least, explore. Even if they have bigger hopes heading into the offseason.
