Orlando Magic: Why Paolo Banchero should be taken with the No. 1 pick

Exploring three reasons why the Orlando Magic should select Paolo Banchero with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. 

With roughly a month before the 2022 NBA Draft, all eyes (and ears) will be revolving around the Orlando Magic. They will dictate the top of the draft and have a huge opportunity to finally land the face of the franchise that they haven’t had since the days of Dwight Howard.

The Magic own the No. 1 pick, after moving up a few spots during the NBA Draft Lottery, and can’t afford to mess up this opportunity. The last time the Magic had the No. 1 overall pick, it worked out pretty well. They drafted Dwight and made it to the NBA Finals with him.

The hope is that they can have similar success with whomever they select No. 1 overall in this draft. However, I believe there’s one prospect that simply makes the most sense for the Magic, and for several reasons.
