Jalen Brunson to the Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards haven’t had the best of luck when it’s come to free agents recently. And just got burned last offseason with the Spencer Dinwiddie acquisition. Assuming that Bradley Beal re-signs, the Wizards should be in the market for another running mate.

Jalen Brunson would be an interesting addition. He’s blossomed throughout his first two seasons in Dallas and should be in for a big payday this offseason. Brunson’s offensive firepower would give the Wizards a threat in the backcourt that they thought they were getting with Dinwiddie last offseason and something they haven’t had since John Wall’s decline.

I’m not sure if a Brunson-Beal backcourt is enough to rise the Wizards into contention in the Eastern Conference, but it’s certainly enough to move the needle for the franchise.
