Kyrie Irving to Dallas Mavericks

After a successful step forward this season, the Dallas Mavericks still have some work to do if they want to be considered a legit contender heading into next season. And with a big decision to make regarding Jalen Brunson, I have one strong opinion.

If I’m the Mavs and I’m going to pay max money to a small scoring guard, I’d rather pay Kyrie Irving that money over Brunson. Of course, if this is even an option. With the chance that the Nets could look to part ways with Kyrie, it’s a conversation that the Mavs should at least have.

I’m not sure if Kyrie would be an ideal fit next to Luka Doncic, but a 1-2 punch of Luka and Kyrie would be difficult for any other team in the league to beat. I’d be highly entertaining and offensively dangerous.
