Utah Jazz
There’s a very real chance that the Utah Jazz could be making some big changes this offseason. If they don’t want to entirely break down their roster and, instead, want to pivot away from one of their stars and build around the other, there’s a scenario where targeting Kyrie Irving would make sense.
In the scenario in which they are forced to trade Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz could be open to the idea of filling Kyrie into Mitchell’s spot in creating a new duo with Rudy Gobert. Kyrie is just as dynamic as a scorer as Mitchell and would fit with Gobert (there aren’t many guards that he doesn’t fit with).
Utah would give this roster a new look and would still be able to carry a highly competitive team heading into next season – which is reportedly a priority considering they’re hosting the NBA All-Star Game next season.
