NBA Trade Rumors: Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer reports that Toronto Raptors two-way star OG Anunoby is unhappy with his current role. This development has sparked rumors of potential suitors for the 24-year-old forward.

OG Anunoby just finished the first year of his rookie extension, under contract for two more years up north with a player option for just under $20 million in the 2024-25 season. He originally signed a 4-year, $72 million deal after a stellar beginning to his career.

He averaged a career-best 17.1 points per game this season on 44.3/36.3/75.4 shooting splits, while also recording 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists. While his efficiency has declined from his earlier years, that’s to be expected with a bigger offensive role in the Toronto system. His usage finished at 20% this season, the highest of his career.

On the defensive end, he’s one of the most versatile defenders in the entire league, as he can essentially switch one through five with ease. At 6’8″ and over 230 pounds, his combination of speed, strength, and athleticism is rare for any defender, reminding many of a younger version of his former teammate, Kawhi Leonard.

Therefore, any team would love to have a player of Anunoby’s caliber. Firstly, he’s likely underpaid and under contract for at least the next two seasons. On the court, every team could use an all-defensive caliber wing defender who can shoot from the perimeter at a high volume and efficiency while developing his ball-handling skills.

In an ideal situation, Anunoby could be the perfect secondary or complementary piece to transition a playoff team into a championship contender. With that in mind, let’s look at three teams who are either linked or should be interested in the former first-round draft pick.
