9. San Antonio Spurs – Dyson Daniels, G, G League Ignite

It’s tough to read what the San Antonio Spurs are going to do at the 2022 NBA Draft. They have plenty of holes to fill and some uncertainty when it comes to what is next for the franchise.

At No. 9, selecting Dyson Daniels could give the Spurs another backcourt player to develop next to Dejuonte Murray, who has made big strides in his game over the last couple of years. Daniels is somewhat of a wildcard and has some star pop when watching his tape.

Placing Daniels in the Spurs’ developmental system may not pay dividends immediately, but he could emerge as a true difference-maker for the team down the line. Ultimately, isn’t that the goal for any team selecting outside the top 5?
