NBA Mock Draft 9.0: NY Knicks trade up for a PG; Magic go rogue at No. 1
29. Memphis Grizzlies – Jake LaRavia, F, Wake Forest
With another first-round pick, look for the Memphis Grizzlies to continue to add to their core. Nothing major, but just looking for potential rotation players in the future.
LaRavia could work his way into being a first-round pick, especially after the stellar junior season he had at Wake Forest. LaRavia averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game on 56 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range.
30. Oklahoma City Thunder – Patrick Baldwin Jr., F, Milwaukee
Patrick Baldwin Jr. is an interesting possibility for any team selecting late in the first round. That said, there’s no question that this pick would come with major risk. He was not productive during his time in college and that’s one of the biggest reasons why he could fall out of the first round.
On the Thunder, he would have a place where he could develop at his own time and that may be necessary for a prospect such as Baldwin.
