NBA Trade Rumors: The Chicago Bulls, in an effort to improve the roster, will likely place Coby White on the trade block this offseason.

The Chicago Bulls faded toward the latter portion of the regular season and into the playoffs, but they do have a core to build around this offseason – something that wasn’t exactly the case last summer.

Assuming they can re-sign Zach LaVine, who is a free agent this offseason, they have a strong three to try to build on. But as is almost always the case, the Bulls will have to part ways with something in order to try to improve the roster.

One of those players, according to a recent report, will likely have to be Coby White.

"[via Heavy.com]“Still, expect some changes with the Bulls this offseason. “They hold the No. 18 pick in the NBA draft, which could be used as a trade chip or to add a young player to the bench. They have guard Coby White, too, who is expected to be on the trade block.”"

White is a solid young player but his role on the team has diminished significantly with the arrival of Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan. And he will continue to be in this situation even more so if LaVine re-signs long-term with the team.

White is coming off the most efficient shooting season of his career thus far but saw his minutes, shots per game, and point per game diminish because of a lesser role this past season.

It’s only fair for White to get a fair chance to catch on somewhere else. And it could help the Bulls as well as they attempt to continue to transition into a win-now team. Chicago has to make an improvement and they’ll have a few assets to do so – which, it appears, will include White.
