13. Charlotte Hornets – Ousmane Dieng, F, International
The Charlotte Hornets need a big, but this could be too high to take one (with Jalen Duren off the board). The next best thing is taking the best player available with the No. 13 overall pick. At this point, an argument could be made for Ousmane Dieng.
He’s a 6-foot-10 phenom that has all the measurables that you want in the modern big/forward. He can probably play the small forward and power forward immediately. He probably needs to add some weight and strength to play the center position on a full-time basis.
Dieng may not pay dividends immediately for whoever drafts him but could end up being the steal of this class in a few years. His ceiling is that high.
