14. Cleveland Cavaliers – Jeremy Sochan, F, Baylor
The Cleveland Cavaliers have one of the NBA’s most talented young cores in the league – and that will still be the case even if they elect to not re-sign Collin Sexton in free agency. Adding another lottery player to this core seems somewhat unfair.
Nevertheless, adding a player such as Jeremy Sochan could be a good gamble for a team that doesn’t necessarily need instant contributors. Sochan could develop into a versatile rotation player for the Cavs; he possesses all the natural tools to do so.
He’s extremely raw on the offensive end and still needs to prove he won’t be a liability on that end of the floor. Still, he’s a prospect that has a high enough of a ceiling that warrants being a lottery pick.
