4. Sacramento Kings – Keegan Murray, F, Iowa
There are already whispers that perhaps Jaden Ivey doesn’t want to be drafted by the Sacramento Kings. And this could very well be the next evolution in the player empowerment era in the league.
I believe that even if that’s remotely true, it’s something that the Kings are going to want to avoid. Plus, it’s not like Ivey is a can’t-miss prospect either. If the Kings can steer clear of a possible headache, they should.
With that understood, the Kings make the safer selection by going with Keegan Murray, who is also a position of need for the team. And it gives them a good 1-2 punch in the frontcourt with Domantas Sabonis.
