NBA Trade Rumors: According to a recent report, the Chicago Bulls have their eyes on acquiring John Collins via trade if the opportunity would present itself.

Heading into the offseason, it appears as if the Chicago Bulls are going to do everything in their power to attempt to improve the roster. Despite the injuries, one thing was clear this season – that their current core doesn’t have enough firepower to keep up with the rest of the Eastern Conference.

One player that could be available this offseason that is also on the Bulls’ radar is John Collins.

The Atlanta Hawks could be looking for a retooling of the roster and Collins, as arguably the most tradable asset on the roster, could find himself on the outside looking in. He’s still a really good player and is still hitting his stride as a pro, but may not be the best fit next to Trae Young.

That could open for a trade this offseason, and it seems as if the Bulls would be interested. They do have a need for a scoring threat in the frontcourt as Nikola Vucevic and Tristan Thompson haven’t exactly lived up to their expectations.

Perhaps that’s a role that Collins could fill for Chicago.

Though, there would be serious questions about the team’s defense. For as good as Collins is on the offensive end of the floor, he leaves much to be desired defensively.

Nevertheless, the Bulls should be all over acquiring another star. They’ve gone all-in on winning and should continue to do whatever they can to achieve that. I’m not sure if Collins is the next step for doing so, but it wouldn’t be surprising if that’s the route that they elect to take.

Either way, the Bulls should be active heading into the offseason. That’s one thing that should actually be expected from Chicago.
