5. Detroit Pistons – Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue

If Jaden Ivey is available at No. 5, I’d have to imagine that the Detroit Pistons are going to get a flurry of trade offers. At the same rate, if Ivey is available for the Pistons to select at No. 5, I would expect them to keep the pick and make the selection.

This move would give the Pistons a very talented backcourt duo for the long haul and they would be set for the foreseeable future. An Ivey-Cade Cunningham duo would be one of the best young duos, at least on paper, in the Eastern Conference.

After losing some ground in the draft lottery, being gifted Ivey would be exactly the type of karma that the Pistons deserve. Make no mistake, don’t be surprised if the Pistons trade this pick if they are absolutely blown away by an offer.
