Portland Trail Blazers
If the Portland Trail Blazers truly want to continue down this road with Damian Lillard, this move makes a ton of sense. And it’s probably a best-case scenario for improving the team before the start of the NBA Draft.
Not only did the Blazers come away with a quality player in Jerami Grant, but they were able to do so without trading away the No. 7 overall pick in the draft. That means the Blazers still have a strong trade chip that they could use on draft night or into the offseason.
Plus, the Blazers will still have some money to use during free agency. It’s a good start for the Blazers, but acquiring Grant can’t possibly be the only move that Portland makes this offseason. This has to just be the start for them.
