The San Antonio Spurs will trade up

It’s not in the San Antonio Spurs DNA, but I have a feeling that we could see them buck the trend at this year’s NBA Draft. And the Spurs will have the necessary pieces to do so. San Antonio enters the draft with three first-round picks (No. 9, 20, and 25).

There have been whispers that the Spurs like Keegan Murray. Though, I’m not sure they have the necessary pieces to trade all the way up into the top 6 – where Murray will likely be taken.

However, if there is another wing that they like towards the end of the top 10, it wouldn’t be surprising for them to move up to No. 7 or 8. Or even use the No. 9 pick on a player and then package the No. 20 and 25 picks to move into the teens.
