Similarly, the Los Angeles Lakers will make headlines but it won’t be pertaining to the draft. Instead, it will be about Russell Westbrook and his impending status with the team. I predict that the Lakers will *almost* trade him on draft night.

I believe that there will be a deal somewhat in place but it will fall apart. And many will see just how difficult it will prove to be for the Lakers to find a landing spot for Westbrook. In fact, I’d be highly surprised if the Lakers manage to trade Russ.

Los Angeles has a lot of work to do this offseason but I’m not so sure that they’ll get a headstart on anything on draft night. Hey, maybe they prove me wrong?
