Ousmane Dieng, F, International

Ousmane Dieng is a fascinating prospect flying up draft boards similar to Dyson Daniels. Dieng is the definition of a boom or bust player, so a ton of risk but high upside.

Dieng has a long body (standing at  6-foot-9 with a 7-foot wingspan) and will have an immediate impact in the NBA on the defensive end. The question is his offense. In the first half of this past season, he was uneven on the offensive end with the New Zealand Breakers but had a crazy turnaround.

Dieng’s offense started to flow, and he looked like an entirely different player.

I wouldn’t be all that surprised if Ousmane Dieng gets selected 9th or 10th in this year’s draft. He has that much long-term potential.
