NBA Draft picks: Jeremy Sochan, Malaki Branham, Blake Wesley

The San Antonio Spurs managed to replenish their roster with three first-round picks. The Spurs held the No. 9, 20, and 25 picks heading into the 2022 NBA Draft. They left draft night with Jeremy Sochan, Malaki Branham, and Blake Wesley – three players that all have the potential to be really good down the line.

Sochan is a versatile forward that is just scratching the surface of the player he can be, Branham was a late-season riser for Ohio State, and Wesley is an intriguing guard out of Notre Dame that has the potential to be a two-way threat at the next level.

None of these picks will be remembered as “flashy” or “sexy,” but this is the type of class that could end up helping the Spurs add some much-needed depth to their roster. If the Spurs can find a second start to place next to Dejounte Murray, San Antonio could develop into a problem in the Western Conference in a few years.
