NBA Rumors: According to a recent report, the Los Angeles Lakers are the team with the most interest in Kyrie Irving.

As traction grows over the potential for the Brooklyn Nets to trade Kyrie Irving this offseason, there are already several teams that have emerged as potential landing spots. But there’s one possibility that remains the most interesting – a potential trade to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Recent reports that the list for Kyrie is as follows: Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, and Philadelphia 76ers.

But according to a recent report, the Lakers are the team with the “most interest” in Kyrie. Which would be an interesting development.

In order for it to happen, the Lakers would need to move Russell Westbrook – and it’s unlikely that Brooklyn would want him in any deal – but a reunion between LeBron James and Kyrie would be interesting on several fronts.

Not to mention that a trio of Kyrie, LeBron, and Anthony Davis would place the Lakers are a major threat in the Western Conference.

Again – a lot can happen between now and Kyrie’s decision. But Kyrie being traded to the Lakers would be quite the pivot. Los Angeles appears to be stuck and with not much light at the end of the tunnel.

Despite his criticisms, there’s one thing that’s clear about Kyrie – he’s one of the most dynamic offensive scorers in the league. The big question at this point in his career is whether or not he’ll be dedicated to the team.

But if Kyrie is reinvigorated with a trade to Los Angeles, there’s no question he could help LeBron and the Lakers compete for a title next season. But those are some big “ifs.”

This next week should be interesting for the Nets and Kyrie. And if Kyrie is truly available, there’s no question that the Lakers should be interested (especially considering their current options).
