NBA Rumors: According to a recent report, Bradley Beal remains “undecided” about his future as free agency quickly approaches.
With NBA Free Agency just a few days away from opening, all eyes will be sharply placed on Bradley Beal and what he ultimately elects to do this offseason. And he will have plenty of options.
In fact, an argument can be made that Beal will have nearly every option on the table heading into free agency. He could opt into the final year of his contract with the Washington Wizards, he could outright test free agency, or he could literally demand a trade to nearly any team he wants – and the expectation is that Washington would play ball.
However, according to a recent report, it appears that Beal is still undecided about what to do.
Beal is about to turn 29 years old and is in the midst of the prime of his career. If he wants a chance to play at the highest stage, you’d have to imagine that this is the offseason for a change.
And this is the ideal situation for Beal to make it happen. There will be plenty of suitors open to a trade and more than a few contenders.
If Beal wants to win a championship, there’s no question this is the offseason where he has to push the agenda. And it’s something that Beal will have to decide, and likely sooner rather than later.
And it may all come down to one simple question – whether or not Beal is willing to throw in the towel on Washington? He’s been loyal to the franchise for the better part of his young career. But it’s become abundantly clear that the franchise isn’t in a position where they’re going to compete any time soon.
Objectively, it’s probably time for a change for Beal. Will he come to that decision, though?
