6. Miles Bridges, restricted
Coming off a breakout scoring season, in which he had his most productive overall campaign to date, Miles Bridges is in line for a huge payday. In fact, the expectation is that he’s going to get a max extension this offseason.
The big question, of course, is whether or not that will come from the Charlotte Hornets or another team. While there are some concerns that the Hornets may not be willing to offer the full max, they really don’t have much of an option.
The Hornets are building something special and Bridges has become a key part of their core. Losing Bridges would put the franchise back and would be a tangible step back heading into next season. Bridges will be back in Charlotte, even if it comes as an overpay.
Prediction: Charlotte Hornets
