After acquiring Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons last week just before the 2022 NBA Draft, the Portland Trail Blazers were able to somewhat solidify the power forward position. During free agency, they’ll be able to do the same for their center position.

That onus falls on their ability to re-sign Jusuf Nurkic who will be a free agent this week. Nurkic has battled injury after injury during his stint in Portland but has been extremely productive when healthy.

This past season, Nurkic averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds on 54 percent shooting from the field. He should be back with the Blazers and they shouldn’t waste much time getting his commitment when free agency opens.
