NBA Rumors: Recent reports suggest Dejounte Murray could be traded to the Atlanta Hawks and John Wall is signing with the LA Clippers?

NBA Free Agency is still a couple of days away, but there’s already plenty of action that is warming fans up to what could possibly await us later this week. It started Monday night when Kyrie Irving announced he was opting into the final year of his contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

However, a few of the other big stories that began to gain steam over the last 12 or so hours, surround Dejounte Murray in San Antonio and John Wall.

According to a recent report, the Spurs and Atlanta Hawks are holding trade talks centered around Murray.

For one, not many believed that Murray was even being shopped. And two, if the Hawks manage to pry Murray away from San Antonio without having to give up John Collins, it’d be a huge win. A backcourt of Murray and Trae Young would be super intriguing and Atlanta could still flip Collins for additional support.

It remains to be seen if it will actually come to fruition, but it’s certainly something to keep an eye on heading into the free agency window.

John Wall to the LA Clippers

Additionally, Wall is a free man. After agreeing to a buyout from the Houston Rockets, Wall will officially be an unrestricted free agent when the transaction window opens. However, there won’t be much mystery about where he’ll land.

According to a recent report, Wall is expected to sign with the LA Clippers when free agency opens.

If nothing else, the Clippers will have one of the deepest rosters in the league. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George expected back healthy next season, there’s a good chance that LA will be able to return to title status in the Western Conference.

Wall should be viewed as a luxury for the Clippers. But it’s never a bad thing to have depth and options.
