P.J. Tucker leaves the Heat

In somewhat a surprising move, P.J. Tucker is leaving the Miami Heat to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers on a three-year, $33.2 million deal that is fully guaranteed. From all indications, it seemed as if Tucker wanted one last big payday and he got it.

Just not from the team that many expected him to get it from.

At 37, it’s not exactly surprising that the Heat elected to let Tucker walk but they will now have work to replace him. In similar news, the Heat did manage to re-sign Victor Oladipo to a one-year, $11 million deal.

It will allow Oladipo to continue to rebuild his reputation around the league in an attempt to get back to the top of the mountain.
