The verdict
As we know, the NBA is a star-driven league, and that usually wins out. Of the possible combinations that could emerge with KD, I believe the Booker-Durant one sticks out most. It has a Kyre Irving-Durant potential without dysfunction. And if the Suns can recreate that WITH Paul, I believe that would be the best landing spot for him in which they would give him the best chance of winning a title.
If Bam takes another professional step this season perhaps that changes, but I don’t think we can assume that at the moment. Both the Heat and Suns would give Durant a great chance at winning a title next season, it will truly come down to a few things that are really out of his control.
It will come down to whether or not the Nets want to even trade Durant to one of his preferred destinations and whether the Suns or Heat can even come close to a competitive offer.

Hopefully, we get some resolution to this situation sooner rather than later. And, make no mistake, no matter where he gets traded, it will have huge ramifications on the rest of the league. Heat, or Suns, Or somewhere else.
