Phoenix Suns: 3 potential trade packages to land Kevin Durant
The Suns send a historic number of draft picks to Brooklyn
In a second offer, the Phoenix Suns will send a historic number of first-round picks to the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant. In this scenario, the Nets essentially say they don’t want Deandre Ayton and will ask for cap flexibility and a ton of draft capital.
Essentially, the Suns would be giving the Nets control of their first-round picks for the next decade, sending four first-round picks (through 2029) to the Nets. They would also send Mikal Bridges, Landry Shamet, Jae Crowder, Dario Saric, and Cameron Johnson.
The Suns would sell this offer as the Nets getting cap relief while acquiring a historic number of draft capital for Durant. It’s probably not Brookyn’s or Phoenix’s first choice, but desperate times come for desperate measures.
