Suns make two separate trades to land KD

Because you can’t do sign-and-trade deals with three teams (or at least I don’t think so), the Suns would have to do two separate moves. Phoenix would first sign and trade Deandre Ayton to a team like the Toronto Raptors, get something in exchange such as Precious Achiuwa, and send that to Brooklyn as well.

So the Suns would send Achiuwa, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Landry Shamet, three first-round picks, and pick swaps to the Nets for Kevin Durant. Again, it’s far from an ideal return for Brooklyn, but it works for both sides.

I guess the biggest question when it comes to a possible Kevin Durant deal is whether or not the Nets are going to try to appease him by helping him get to a landing spot of his preference. I think we’ll find out the answer to that question over the next few days.
