5. PJ Tucker signs with the Philadelphia 76ers

Shortly after the NBA Free Agency period opened, it was announced that the Philadelphia 76ers and PJ Tucker had agreed to a three-year deal, fully guaranteed deal. It was what Tucker wanted financially and he’ll be reunited with James Harden (they played together in Houston).

While the move is questionable financially, especially considering that the Sixers just guaranteed three years to a 37-year-old, there’s no question that Tucker is going to be an excellent addition next to Joel Embiid.

Tucker is one of the most fierce and tenacious defenders in the league and is known to hit timely buckets; if he can continue to be that player, even for just the next two seasons, this signing will end up being a huge win for the Sixers.

Philly needed to add depth and toughness this offseason. They managed to hit a home run with just one signing.
