4. The Boston Celtics acquire Malcolm Brogdon via trade

After falling a couple of games short of winning the 2022 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics entered the offseason with not many holes on their roster but with some defined needs. And a playmaking point guard was one of them.

The Celtics weren’t shy with their aggressiveness and managed to acquire Malcolm Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers for…not much. Boston only had to part ways with Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith, and a future first-round pick that may end up turning into a second-round pick.

Brogdon is the perfect fit for the Celtics roster. Not only is he a guard that could play on-ball and initiate offense for the team, but he is also comfortable off-ball in the event that the Celtics want to play through Marcus Smart or Jayson Tatum.

This was a huge get for the Celtics and could end up being the final piece of the puzzle.
