2. Toronto Raptors

Potential tradable assets: OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr., Chris Boucher, Precious Achiuwa, multiple first-round picks, pick swaps

The Toronto Raptors are another team that was not included on Kevin Durant’s preferred wishlist but is a team that could emerge as a real threat to win the bidding war for the best player in the league. They have a deep chest of assets and all their draft picks over the next few years to work with.

One of the reasons why I have the Raptors ranked so high on this list is because this is something that they’ve actually done before. When Kawhi Leonard hit the open market, the Raptors went all-in without a guarantee that he would re-sign long-term with the team.

Ultimately, we know he elected to go to Los Angeles but it was entirely worth it in the end for the Raptors since it resulted in a championship. I’m not sure if the Raptors are willing to go all-in in their pursuit of KD, but I’m not willing to count them out either.
