NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring three teams that should try to sign and trade for Collin Sexton, who hasn’t gotten much interest in restricted free agency.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the biggest surprises in the Eastern Conference for the better part of last season. Even though it all came tumbling down at the end of the season, there should be a certain level of intrigue for the team heading into 2022-23. However, the team still has one order of business this offseason: figuring out what to do with Collin Sexton.

The Cavaliers have a big decision to make regarding Sexton. He’s looking for starting point guard money and, at least up until now, the Cavaliers have been unwilling to meet his demand. Eventually, they’ll have to decide to trade him or perhaps let him play for the qualifying offer (which would make him an unrestricted free agent after next season) if he’s not willing to sign a long-term extension.

And that decision could prove to be difficult. Either way, the market for Sexton could heat up soon – or perhaps once a resolution is found between the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant.

Under that assumption, we explore three teams that should consider the possibility of signing and trading for Sexton.
