New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have already been linked to Donovan Mitchell and I don’t think we’ve seen the last of such reporting. And the biggest draw for a potential Mitchell trade is not just their big city, it’s their intriguing assets as well.
The Knicks could offer Utah a package of Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin, and/or Julius Randle. Should they throw in RJ Barrett, I’m not sure there’s any other team that could beat such a package from New York. Especially considering they could trade any number of first-round picks to Utah – they have eight eligible for trade.
Perhaps the big question will revolve around Barrett and whether the Knicks are ready to move on from him.
The Knicks are not a team that should be overlooked in a possible bidding war for Mitchell because of their unsuccessful past. The Knicks should be viewed as one of the most likely landing spots for Mitchell because of their connections to the player and because of their vast collection of assets.
