What will the New York Knicks ultimately do?
When trying to project what exactly the New York Knicks are going to do, well that’s tough. This era’s front office has been difficult to predict and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised either way. When push comes to shove, I firmly believe that the Knicks are going to try and land Mitchell without Barrett.
There’s just something that tells me New York will be unwilling to include Barrett in a package for Mitchell. Whether the Knicks could actually pull off a deal still remains to be seen. However, that’s how I believe this will all unwind.
The Knicks have been building something good and made a big splash during free agency when they landed Jalen Brunson. They’ll make a healthy offer for Mitchell but I have a hard time envisioning this team blowing up what they’ve built for Mitchell and Brunson.
