4. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have improved this offseason. The big question is how much they’ve improved. James Harden took less and told management to use that money to improve the roster. And that’s exactly what they did.
With the pay cut that Harden took, the Sixers went out in free agency to snag PJ Tucker (away from the Miami Heat) and inked Danuel House. They also acquired De’Anthony Melton from the Memphis Grizzlies in a draft-day trade.
The Sixers still have some flexibility to make or move or two with Tobias Harris still on the roster. Nevertheless, assuming that Harden and Embiid are healthy, the Sixers should absolutely be a threat to win the Eastern Conference this season.
